Feminism- A concept Misconceptualized

Feminism

Empower, encourage, advocate,
Don’t fight, don’t assume, don’t aggravate.
We must stand together, different but equal,
Not jump to conclusions, watch the sequel before the prequel.

Feminism is a way to show and learn,
That every individual can grow and earn,
Women can be strong and men can cry,
There’s no reason to judge, no reason to pry.

Feminism is a forward thinking way,
To support women and to help them say,
“We must get rid of our sorrow,
For we’re here today and will be there tomorrow”

However a cloud has darkened this thought,
Erased the sunlight that it has brought.
It has transformed this idea, turned it around,
Into a devious plan that people have found.

It has been instilled into the human brain,
That feminists hate men, think they’re insane.
They think only men can fight, only men can assault,
Men are wrong and men are at fault.

It is assumed that feminism is a gun,
Targeted towards men each and every one,
There to shoot them down, burry them deep,
Teach them a lesson and make them weep.

Its been stereotyped that feminism is unfair,
It addresses women but for the others it doesn’t care,
It is blind towards the struggles of man and more,
It is bias to the core.

Why is the question that we must ask,
Why do we assume?
Why do we judge?
Why do we blame?
Why do we stereotype?
Why can’t we step back and listen? Why can’t we see the entire canvas? Why?

Being a feminist doesn’t mean you believe all men a rapists!!
Being a feminist doesn’t mean you think all men are evil!!   Being a feminist doesn’t mean  you blame every individual man you know for hundreds of years of oppressive behavior!!

Feminism is a way to empower, encourage, advocate,
So, Don’t fight, don’t assume, don’t aggravate.
Therefore, We must stand together, different but equal,
Not jump to conclusions, watch the sequel before the prequel.
